However, you can also discover some unbranded products that are also easily available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let\u2019s take a quick look at women\u2019s fashion. On the best seller list, I found these comfortable drawstring pants which are ranked 14 on Amazon\u2019s Best Sellers for the Clothing, Shoes &amp; Jewelry category. But they also ranked 1 in women\u2019s Casual Pants &amp; Capris. There are 964 reviews with an overall 4 star rating. Not bad at all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.oberlo.com\/media\/1603957116-amazon.jpg?w=1824&amp;fit=max\" alt=\"amazon\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>I decide to look up the exact keywords following the brand name to see if I could find it on AliExpress. So you can add products to your store, like this one, based on their performance on Amazon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Okay, let me guess what you\u2019re thinking right now. \u201cBut Nicole, I can\u2019t possibly compete with Amazon. Their prices are too low.\u201d Am I close?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I used to have those fears too until I experienced the impact of a winning product first hand. Within the trends category, you\u2019ll find best sellers. However, what\u2019s just as interesting is that they also divide their clothing into fashion trends. This can help give you an idea of what types of trends within the fashion niche are popular right now. Under trends, you see categories like athleisure, animal prints, and plaid. Monitor High-Performing Ads<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>We live in a world of scrollers. But have you ever stopped to think what could happen if you didn\u2019t scroll past an endless wave of posts?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My world&nbsp;<em>completely<\/em>&nbsp;changed because, one day, I stopped scrolling to look at a Facebook ad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ad copy? Lackluster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The website design? It was a big, colorful blanket, so I tried different keywords like \u201cbeach blanket\u201d and \u201cmeditation blanket.\u201d After a bit of searching, I found the&nbsp;<strong><em>exact, same product<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.oberlo.com\/media\/1603957111-screen-shot-2018-09-27-at-2-54-37-pm.png?w=1824&amp;fit=max\" alt=\"mandala blanket\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Bingo!<br><br>But the truth is, just because you find a winning product doesn\u2019t mean you know how to sell it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That first month, I only made $1659.70. These numbers don\u2019t really hint that success is coming up: Less than a 1% conversion rate and only 39 orders.&nbsp;<em>This<\/em>&nbsp;product\u2019s supposed to be a homerun?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><img src=\"https:\/\/www.oberlo.com\/media\/1603957111-screen-shot-2018-09-27-at-9-52-42-am.png?w=1824&amp;fit=max\" alt=\"store data\" width=\"2820\" height=\"1248\">The truth that no one tells you is that you can have a winning product on your store and have no freaking idea. Your store\u2019s performance can be just like a lot of other new stores. Enough sales to know you can make money, but not enough to know you\u2019re onto something big.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are so many factors to ensure your winning product has the best chance of success:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Your ad needs to target and attract the right audience<\/li><li>Your website needs to convert<\/li><li>You need to convince customers to buy right now before going off and doing research<\/li><li>The product shouldn\u2019t be widely available (i.e., not in retail stores)<\/li><li>And more!<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>So don\u2019t be afraid to ask around for store reviews to get feedback on your store. Because you could very well have some best-selling products on it without even realizing it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And keep your eyes peeled on Facebook and Instagram for ads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A little trick to consistently trigger ads from various stores is to add best-selling products from various competitors to your cart. Top-performing stores will usually have&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.oberlo.co.uk\/blog\/spent-200000-facebook-ads-heres-learned\">retargeting ads<\/a>&nbsp;which often get triggered by&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.oberlo.co.uk\/blog\/abandoned-carts\">abandoned carts<\/a>. And this data is shown for every single Amazon product as long as you\u2019re on the .com domain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let\u2019s take a look at the data when searching for kitchen products. You can choose to sort any of the Chrome extension by any of its headers. If there are multiple sellers for a single product, it\u2019s more likely that the product can be found on AliExpress. Alternatively, you can use the AliExpress Dropshipping Center to discover high-potential items.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.oberlo.co.uk\/videos\/dropshipping-secrets\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Dropshipping secrets<\/a>&nbsp;like these are really effective for finding winning products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Pro tip:<\/strong>&nbsp;Be careful when analyzing branded and trademarked goods. For example, if iRobot Roomba only has one seller and you see that iRobot is also the brand name, you likely won\u2019t be able to sell the product since it\u2019s branded. Using Automizely to Find the Product<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Within Automizely, you can get access to data for various AliExpress products. You can find out which products have had sales and which haven\u2019t. But you can also find out how recent those sales are.&nbsp;Keep in mind that some of these products will be the most popular that everyone else is selling since it\u2019s what people will check through first.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So you\u2019ll need to dig a little deeper and look at&nbsp;all of these details to help you make a decision. A 4.7 star rating is great. I usually like to stay above 4.5 stars. But keep in mind that if there are more than 100 reviews anything above a 4 star is a great product to choose from.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When it comes to pageviews, I like to compare it with orders from the last 30 days. When you divide orders from the past 30 days against total pageviews (also from the past 30 days), look at the percentage you get. If it\u2019s above 50%, you likely have a winning product on your hands. Anything lower than that and your ad pricing might end up costing you too much.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When it comes to Orders, check to see if the orders in the past 30 days are high. If they\u2019re higher than the past six months, you likely caught it before the trend blew up. However, you don\u2019t need to discredit a great product because of it either. Even if the trend is dying, you can still capitalize on it if sales in the past 30 days are in the hundreds or higher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"8-how-to-use-google-trends-to-find-winning-products\">9. How to Use Google Trends to Find Winning Products<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Google Trends is a popular free tool you can use to find out if a product is growing or declining in popularity. I also chose the setting from \u201c2004-present\u201d which helps me see the full picture a bit clearer.
